What kind of traveller are you?
I think I'm quite a boring traveller, I am someone that enjoys the city life.
What are some of your must-dos when you travel?
I will shop as much as I can, especially the local labels of that country.
I will also make it a point to squeeze as much work opportunities as possible with clients of that country to make it worth my while (I'm a workaholic)
And lastly, I will find yoga/fitness studios for classes.
What are your top 5 destinations to travel to?
I wished I had the luxury of budget and time to travel! But my top 5 destinations are Bangkok, Paris, London, Sydney and Auckland.
What inspired you to start your fashion label, eight slate?
I knew starting my own fashion business was a childhood dream of mine and it is something very personal. So I spent my youth (since age 13) working towards that goal, through working double jobs everyday in my teens to save enough capital to start Eight Slate.
What are some of your favourite neighbourhoods in Singapore?
I love the Tiong Bahru/RedHill area, my partner grew up there along with his childhood friends, so the neighbourhood meant a lot to him which rubbed off onto me.
It is also one of the only neighbourhoods filled with culture from it's food, houses and eateries to the people living there.
I also love Katong, I dine there alone once in a while and take a stroll through 112 Katong Road and admire the bustling streets.
Where/what would you recommend to eat, drink or hangout in these neighbourhoods?
For Tiong Bahru, I recommend Caffe Pralet, a home grown bakery cum cafe of affordable yet delicious local and western dishes. Their must try dish is their 'Hae Bee Hiam Aglio Olio' and 'Sour Plum' drink, a modern take on classic Chinese ingredients.
I recommend Margarita's at East Coast (Katong), a Mexican restaurant of flavourful dishes that will delight your palette. Try their 'Carne Asada', with beef so fresh and grilled to perfection you can literally taste the charred flavour.
For after work drinks, check out The Cider Pit at Joo Chiat for a large selection of draught ciders and artisanal beers.

Can you suggest a 3D2N Weekend itinerary for someone who's just visiting Singapore for the weekend?
What's a weekend getaway without some shopping! Have a local breakfast of kaya toast and coffee at Chin Mee Chin over at 204 East Coast Rd.
Visit our National Art Gallery, its scenic exterior doubles up as a perfect place for #ootds.

Experience our nightlife by hitting the best cocktail bars- Bitters & Love, Jekyll and Hyde, Sugarhall. Visit Kyo, one of my favourite clubs. (Check out their Poptart nights for indie rock, electro pop tunes).

If you have sometime to kill after a day of shopping, stop by Overeasy Orchard, an American styled diner for juicy burger and root beer floats together with 90's nostalgia.
