Roomorama Review: Our Awesome Buenos Aires Apartment

The flight to Argentina is a long one—10 hours of elbow-knockin’ and cramped sleeping—and it’s such a nice relief knowing you have a fully-furnished, air-conditioned, private apartment waiting for you upon landing.

After a 20-minute drive from the airport, we arrived at our charming Roomorama apartment in Palermo Hollywood, Buenos Aires. Guidebook writing is no easy feat, and we were really excited to set down our bags, check out our digs, and get to work.

Nestled in a mature neighborhood with tree-lined streets and an eclectic mix of Continue reading

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires is a big, beautiful city that has completely sucked us in.

Girl Guides: Argentina; A Woman’s Guide to Traveling in Argentina from our chic Roomorama apartment.

Traveling to Buenos Aires soon? Awesome! Here are some things to keep in mind: Continue reading

Go! Girl Guides Pays A Visit

Page and Erica looking beautiful as ever in Argentina.

Go! Girl Guides (GGG) is taking over our blog this week and we couldn’t be more pumped! As a woman, I know how difficult it can be to map out the perfect solo vacation as there are a number of factors to be considered before embarking on a journey to foreign lands. Factors that GGG address in their kick-ass travel guidebooks, made for women by women. What can you find in their guidebooks? GGG explains:

Our country-by-country guidebooks not only give women the inside scoop on the best places to eat or drink while on the road, they also give them valuable information by finding the safest and most affordable places to stay, highlighting tours that cater to women, finding spiritual retreats and centers of rejuvenation, and exploring free or low-cost volunteer options that are safe and leave a lasting impression.

Having completed their very first guidebook on Thailand, they are now working on their second book on Argentina with the help of  Go! Girl Guides writers, Page and Erica.  These travelin’ ladies wanted to share their experiences with all of you special readers and have planned a pretty sweet week here on Blog-O-Rama. Stay tuned to get a closer look into the beautiful Argentina through Page and Erica’s adventure-filled stories, gorgeous photos and advice to fellow travelers!

Friday Listicle: Top Five Tropical Rainforests!

So, you had a childhood obsession with Tarzan? No judgment here. After all, rainforests can make for a pretty cool travel destination. With the diverse plants and wildlife, it’s no wonder Tarzan rejected ‘civilization’ to bask in the glorious creation of mother nature. And, rejoice, five-year-old version of yourself, zip-lining is a socially acceptable alternative to swinging from vines. Let that inner-child of yours shine through as you zoom through the rainforest, banging your chest and screaming at the the top of your lungs. Behold our top five tropical rainforests:

1) Maquipucuna Cloud Forest, Ecuador: This 15,000 acre Cloud Forest near Quito, Ecuador is home to 4% of the world’s bird diversity.
