We know how difficult it can be to take the perfect passport photo. Instead of looking like an eager traveler, most photos resemble mugshots. Do not fret! Roomorama is here with some handy dandy advice. We’re kicking off our first ever “Friday Listicle” with a few suggestions on how to avoid taking a terrible photo. Don’t let yourself look like you’re facing 10-20 years in the slammer!
- Wear a solid color that flatters your skin tone. Creamy, white colors and black are usually a no-go.
- For those of you who wear make-up, try for a more natural look. You don’t want to look like a clown!
- Make sure you use oil-absorbing sheets on your face or lightly powder your face to avoid looking shiny.
- Keep that beautiful chin of yours DOWN! Haven’t you ever noticed how amazing you look when your picture is taken from above? It’s all about those angles, baby.
- Figure out your best side and try to slightly angle your head to capture that.
- Keep your eyes focused on something to avoid looking like a creep.
- Don’t feel shy about asking the photographer to take another photo. If you don’t like your shot, ask for another!
