Boston Comedy Festival, August 29-September 5, 2009
Think of Boston comedy and your mind may flash back to a bar where everybody knows your name, but the city has in fact also produced some of America’s most well-known comic entertainers: Jay Leno, Denis Leary and Lenny Clarke all got their big breaks through Beantown’s thriving stand-up community. The Boston Comedy Festival
was devised in 1999 as a means continuing this tradition and exposing New England’s comedic talent to a wider audience. As Festival founder Jim McCue explains, “Boston’s comedy community is a tight group of talented individuals that we aim to celebrate and promote with each Festival. This year’s event is especially sweet since it marks 10 years of fabulously funny folks.”
Roomorama Men in Black dvd ????? ????? ????? ??? Beyond the Sea video
is proud and thrilled to join in the fun, especially since this year’s festival promises to be bigger than ever. Featuring a mix of live performance and movies at venues across the city, the festival will culminate at Boston’s Hard Rock CafĂ©, where over 96 comedians from around the world will compete for a grand prize of $10,000!
And if you’re not one of the competing comics, there’s still good news: anyone booking on Roomorama can get $40 off a stay of 3 nights or longer by using the booking code BOSTONCOMEDY.
